Hey Mambo! Mambo Italiano! Talk about your pizzeria. I recently was out at the movies with some friends and one of them decided we should go here afterwards considering we were all hungry at that point. You walk in and it's a quaint little place with lovely decor. You sit down and you're asked what you want to drink. You can either order your entrees or pizza then or take some time to think it over. It's quite a laid back environment for a group of friends or perhaps even a date for that lucky lady. After you order you are served fresh garlic rolls to tide you over while you wait on them to cook your order. Now let me tell you something, these rolls are fantastic. I'm sure you've figured this out but in the chance you haven't let me say it, I love to eat. I judge complimentary appetizers by how many I eat. I actually have to remind myself that I have a pizza coming so I don't fill up. Then comes the pizza, fresh out of the oven. It's absolutely marvelous. Being a male and growing up in the era I have, I've eaten my share of pizza in my life thus far and this ranks among the top. Bravo Rotelli, Bravo. The bottom line is if you live in the Charlotte area you are doing yourself a disservice by not eating here at least once, but I'm sure after one time you'll want to return.

Ok, so today I was in Rock Hill and I found this place. It's not the flashiest place on the outside but then again appearance doesn't count for much in my book. What matters is the food. This place is a buffet so you sit down, a waitress comes to get your drink orders and away you go. It's a standard chinese buffet, they've got your soups, your entrees, your desserts, they've got the whole shebang. The food is fairly decent as far as taste goes. I can't complain about the tea either. I can't find anything to critique except one area, the price. I was dining there with two others and the total was roughly $35. Folks that's more than $10 a pop after everything is all said and done. So the thing is if you are taking a group of people there you should make sure you have a decent amount of cash on you.

Man has it been a long time. I hope everyone has been alright. But right now I'm here to tell you about this awesome place called Elwoods. I was out getting some last minute things for Thanksgiving and found this place. I go in and go up to the counter and order a bbq sandwich and fries. I sit down and wait about 5 minutes then they call my number and I get my food. I was shocked. I mean 5 minutes? That's pretty good. But back to the topic at hand. The bbq was smoked well, the eastern bbq sauce they had was splendid, and the fries were hot and tasted good.(They also have a western sauce for the western fans out there) What more can you ask for? Tea? They have that covered. Price? Not bad. I mean a bbq sandwich and fries that tastes good for about 7 and some odd dollars. Folks that's hard to beat. Also, for all my wheelchair bound friends out there you don't need to worry about accessibility. Everything is spaced nicely to where and chair can get around and easily pull up to a table. Now, I know this place sounds awesome already but if you don't want a burger or bbq or ribs they also have fried/bbq chicken, salads, soup, wings, and shakes and floats for all of you with a sweet tooth. On top of all that they make all their sides daily. What complaints could you have about a place like this? So all in all I highly recommend this place.
Overall 4.95/5
(I know you're thinking Zack, you've got no complaints about the place. Why not a 5/5? Well I probably will never give out a 5/5 because for that to happen I would want it to be an experience I would pleasantly remember for an eternity and a day. With that being said a 4.95/5 is pretty impressive in my book)

Taqueria la Costena

Between Waxhaw and Weddington right by the GoodWill truck.

Ok, when I say there isn't much to look at I mean there's not much to look at. This place is basically a truck with a kitchen attached. It's located between Waxhaw and Weddington. I think there is one table set up for people to eat at. Now I know what you're thinking. Why would you eat at a truck? That's disgusting. Well as I always say the smallest places have the best stuff. In this case I'm still right. You go up to the window and order your tacos and wait maybe 3 minutes. They are some good tacos let me tell ya. They taste authentic too. Each taco is $1.50. They are simple yet delicious. They also have two sauces, a hot green one and a mild red one. Beware of the green fire though, it is meant to be handled with care. Overall it is a just a taco truck, but it is a delicious one.

Price's Chicken Coop

1614 Camden Road at Park Avenue, Charlotte NC
http://www.priceschickencoop.com/

I've been procrastinating on this one because I've been "busy" (Also known as being lazy). Anyway, it was about lunch time and my Dad was hungry so he went out and got a bunch of Fried chicken from this place for lunch. Oh my gosh. They have the best fried chicken I've ever had. It is amazing. If you are a fried chicken aficionado you have to try this place. It looks like a hole in the wall but those are some of the best places. They have burgers and bbq and other stuff too if you don't want fried chicken. As much as I love this place I have to knock them for one thing. No ramp. They have this kind of step thing made out of brick and wheelchairs can't get in there. Now the owner would probably have them bring out your order but they shouldn't have to. At any rate if you want fried chicken come here.

The Midnight diner

115 East Carson Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 • Phone: 980.207.3641

I was out with some friends of mine in Charlotte and we saw this place and decided to try it. We go in and have to wait about 7 minutes to be seated because it was so packed. The place has almost everything you could want to eat. I mean I actually had a hard time deciding what to get because there was so much. I decided to get a regular cheeseburger and fries and my friends got breakfast there since they serve it all day. After the waitress takes our orders we just sit there chatting while listening to the rock music they had playing. The waitress brings out our food and let me tell you what, they have good portions. I always hate it when I go to a restaurant and you order something and there's barely anything there. At this place if you leave hungry it's your own fault. Everything was delicious. My burger and fries were good and my friends say that the waffles they got were the best they had ever had. They even said the fried chicken was good. Now you're probably thinking what are they doing eating chicken and waffles? All I've got to say is don't knock it till you try it.
All in all it's a great place for friends, family or anybody really.

The Oasis

116 S Main St, Monroe, NC 28112
(704) 289-3633

I was out today and smelled this wonderful aroma coming from this sandwich shop so I decided to try it out. It's pretty crowded so I decide to wait outside at the table right by the door. I waited about 10 minutes and they motioned me in when my order was ready and let me tell you this, they have some good bbq. Now here in NC there is a heated debate over eastern and western style bbq and it hasn't ended. I myself find that I like both and this place serves eastern style. I might add it's quite good. The price isn't that bad either, I mean a sandwich drink and chips for a little over 10 bucks isn't bad. I do have one major complaint though. If you're in a wheelchair, you can't even get in this place. There is no ramp. Now I know this place is in an old part of town but that doesn't matter. Everybody should be able to enter this place but sadly they cannot. I guess they just don't want your money if you are in a wheelchair. It's too bad really because I know plenty of people that would gladly visit this place but they can't. All in all it is a good eatery it just needs a ramp.
